Realme 8 Pro Overview & Specification

 

Finally Realme has lauched an another smartphone Realme 8 pro with the price of ₹17,999 & ₹19,999 in the Indian market. This year it’s 3^rd or 4^th new smartphone from this brand. From Realme X7 to Realme X7 pro, looks like the brand has become more aggressive in launching its new smartphone and had raised the competition. Now it is time to see if the new smartphone launch from Realme is something worth or a better upgrade to its already selling 7 Pro. Let’s check out its specs.

     1)  Display

Realme 8 pro comes with an 6.4’’ (6.3 cm) of the screen size. The best part is it’s an super amoled screen with resolution 1080×2400 FHD+ and screen-to-body ratio of 90.8% having a peak brightness of 1000 nits, which means in outdoor condition you wont have any trouble seeing your favourite things on your phone.

      2)  Camera

Nowadays, there have been a craze not only among customer but also smartphone manufacturer to provide multiple camera with big sensor. And I think its only Realme that have given a whopping sensor of 108 MP in this price segment. Seems like Realme 8 pro could become a camera beast giving a tough competition to Redmi note pro max. The sensor used by Realme here is  “Samsung HM2 Sensor” with  f/1.88 aperture, not a sony sensor but it wil be really exciting to see how well it will perform in the various lighting condition and how people will respond to it.

Another is an “Ultra-wide Camera” with f/2.25 aperture and FOV ( field of view) 119° while the rest are 2MP Macro lens and 2MP Black & White lens.

Front Camera is 16MP Sony IMX471 Sensor an In-display Selfie with an f/2.45 aperture.

      3)  Processor

Somewhere it feels like Realme has strong affinity toward snapdragon 720G processor that it has decided to carry the same in this model too. Oh! Come on its from 6 pro to 8 pro, I mean what the hell Realme have been thinking on using the same old processor, it’s not that it’s a bad processor but to be using it in every model seems a waste. Anyway it’s a good processor.

      4)  Storage & Ram

The phone has been launched in two variant:

RAM：6GB/8GB LPDDR4X

                     &

ROM：128GB UFS 2.1  

With UFS you can get a good data transfer speed.

     5)  Battery & Charging

It supports a 50W SuperDart Charge which takes around 45min to completely charge your phone. So no need to panic even if you have a limited time to charge your phone. The company has packed a massive battery of  4500mAh though nowadays 5000 mAh seems pretty common even in the low budget segment phone. Above all you will get a 65 Watt charger to juice up your battery. Isn’t it an icing on the cake.

     6)  Cellular & Wireless

The phone has 3 card slot, 2 for nano sim-card & 1 for microsd. Its only supports 4G, but may also support carrier aggregation. For wireless it support 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz bands for wifi.

      7)  Sensors

The phone is packed with most of the sensor. With the sAmoled screen you get an “Ultra-fast in-display fingerprint sensor” which is quite responsive and takes less than half a second to unlock itself with accuracy. Other sensors include Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Magnetic induction sensor, Acceleration sensor, Gyro-meter sensor.

     8)  Operating System

Realme 8 pro runs on UI 2.0 which is much smoother, refined & performance centric in comparison to earlier versions. This UI 2.0 is based on android 11, in simple terms you have an android 11 out of the box.
