Success of the laptops and notebooks can be seen from the fact that now every individual carries it in their backpack or in their sidebag. While some carry new, some still own old like me who is still stucked with HP G62 . Remember there is always a time when these starts to lag a lot some because of the old processor, some because of low, very loooowwww ram or other factors can be storage. blah! blah! blah!.

Let’s take an insight into all those things that could speed up your pc or your laptop, Not like the bullet train but still something manageable.

1)     RAM

RAM which from our middle school we have heard about and crammed it like “RANDOM ACCESS MEMORY” .Whenever you load your OS some of the application is stored in the RAM or simply memory so when you require an application it will send it faster to the processor to work upon it. EVEN some motherboard has soldered RAM which makes it quite impossible to upgrade them. So basic thing to remember is “MORE RAM, FASTER SPEED”.

Note: While it is said that 2GB of RAM is enough for Window 10, make sure you have a minimum of 4 GB in it, as you need to run many other application than window.

2)      SSD

Earlier laptops were only installed with HDD(Hard disk drive), which is a kind of storage device where you store your files permanently like audios, videos, games, etc. But now another type of storage comes which is SSD (Solid State Drive). These devices are way faster than HDD and provides you data in an blink of eye. You can assume it to be 10X times faster than HDD since it has no moving parts. Therefore to make your laptop run faster like a horse, make sure you have SSD installed. Even you can have both of them installed at same time just by removing your CD ROM drive.

3)      TEMPORARY FILES

These files are created by programs when you are installing them or when they are working on it. After the work is done they are just garbage and would surely help in making your computer slow. By removing these waste files you are not only speeding your computer but also making a free space. Deleting them just take mostly 1-2 minutes.

To Delete these files, open the run window or search bar and type   %temp%  . Just delete the files in the temp folder.

Finally go to recycle bin and  to delete those files permanently.

4)      REINSTALL THE OS

Sometimes due to some bug, or missing file window load slower even though everything seems perfect. Make sure to install the fresh OS by deleting you old operating system.

A piece of advice make sure to always update your OS as window 10 is mostly in the developing phase and with the new update the developers are fixing some bugs.
