So What is it! Who Invented it! What is its purpose or use? These are the basic question that arises in

We all know about internet, through internet people can share data, information and do many much stuff.
All these data are accessed on the www i.e World Wide Web. Now we need something that could fetch
this data from these web sever on which these data are present and show us on our devices. This is
where web browser came into use. So technically,
"Web Browser is a software application that is used to access information from world wide web and
displays it on the user's device".
Who invented it?
There are different web browser and their inventors are different. But the very first web browser which is said to be "World wide web" was invented by "Tim Berners Lee".

1) Google:
One of the most popular and widely used browser. The initial work on development of chrome was attributed to "Larry Page" and "Sergey Brin". But it was officially launched on 2009 to the public

2) Firefox:
Firefox is the best alternative of the chrome. Loaded with a lot of useful features and easy interface, it has become people favourite in a very short time. Supported by many OS like Linux, Mac OS, Windows etc. It was created by "Dave Hyatt" and "Blake Ross".
3) Edge:
Edge was developed by Microsoft Corporation. Also Internel explorer development was also attributed to Microsoft but because of its poor performance and high loading time for web page, it never was reliable and was a failure. Inorder to overcome such thing Edge was developed which was built on Chromium based source code rather than EdgeHTML.
4) Opera:
Opera browser is quite fast and stands on par with the likes of Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. This browser support all the major platforms like Windows, Mac OS, Andorid Devices and iOS. It was developed by "Jon Stephenson" and "Geir Ivarsoy".
5) Brave:
Brave browser was developed by java creator "Brendan Eich" and "Brain Bondy" . It is an open source and support multi-platform like Windows, MacOs, Android etc. It has gained popularity for its privacy focused search and is loaded with features like inbuilt blockers and website tracker.
6) Safari:
Safari is web browser of Apple and therefore come preinstalled with all the Apple devices. It was developed by "Steve Jobs" the founder of the company and was launched in 2003. Safari though is speedy and performs good without taking much memory but dearth of customisation and extensions had made it hard for it to compete with the likes of Chorme and Mozilla Firefox.
7) Maxthon:
Maxthon is an another web browser developed by "Maxthon Ltd." which has made its name into the list of top 10. What makes this browser different is its "Drag and Drop" features. With this you can drag any image or content from the web site and directly drop or send it to the email or messages of others. The only negative thing about it is that it cannot stop malicious download and therofore one have to use an antivirus progaram.
8) Vivaldi browser:
Vivaldi was lauched in 2016 and was founded by "Tatsuki Tomita and Jon Stephenson". The browser in a very short span has made its name and is one of the best browser to be used in Windows 10. It is very similar to Opera and supports the extension of Chrome Browser.
9) Torch Browser:
If you love downloading content from torrent, then this web browser is definitely made for you. With the build in torrent downloader it has gain a huge following among torrent maniacs. Also one can share videos, sites, audio and other search result directly on social media like Facebook, Twitter etc.It was developed by Torch Media Inc and supports only Windows. It works on Chromium based source and supports most of the extension available for chrome. It has around 10 million active users globally.
10) Chromium:
Chromium is an open source web browser developed by "GOOGLE". It resemble mostly like Chrome but does not have any dedicated updater. One need to download the chromium updates manually. But since it is open source, the codes are updated daily and one can see new updates reguarly in it. It supports the Windows, MacOS, Android and BSD Devices.
